Its been really hectic workwise and it had been weeks since we had taken a break but when I read that 'Grease', a musical was being performed at Chowdaiah, I was delighted. Ranga bought the tickets and we walked into the auditorium reminiscing about my college days when our big gang of friends had watched Grease 2 - the sequel to Grease. Young Travolta was brought to life by the young artistes who danced with abandon. The foot tapping rock n roll and the sets complete with a juke box was fabulous. The swirls of the dresses, the 'brilliantined' hair were a super throwback to the old times. Prom nights are such a beautiful memory that whenever you remember, you actually savour them. A great show - thoroughly enjoyed it.
The cool evening breeze had whetted our appetites and we went to 'Mint Masala', a restaurant in the corner, with a little trepidation as it was a new place and not too many people were around. But we were in for a pleasant surprise - lovely vegetarian fare, the Nargisi Kofte in Palak was to die for and so were the rotis, hot and just right! Enjoyed the simple yet very tasty meal and promised ourselves to come there again.
All in all, a very satisfying evening, for the body and the soul!
